What is 4G Broadband? 4G is the name given to signals transmitted by mobile networks over phone masts which are connected to the Internet. These are the signals used by today's smartphones to give you Internet access on your mobile phone when you're on the move, but 4G isn't just for smartphones. It can also offer one of the best broadband solutions especially for the more remote and rural properties, even where mobile reception is poor. We utilise this type of signal using the latest products and technology to give our customers a super fast internet connection. Whats the difference from what i'm currently using? Well, as mentioned above, our 4g systems use the local mobile mast that provide internet connectivity to nearby 4G enabled devices. This means we don't need to rely on cables or fibre, and as many of us know, in the more rural areas the cabling unfortunately can be very slow and unreliable. Does it actually work? Is it reliable? Yes, it does work. Now obviously like any type of signalling it works better in some areas than others but this is why we carry out site surveys. On our site surveys we carry out a series of small tests to check the nearby cell tower distances, which network would be best and finally what speeds we think you will receive once the installation is complete. Once completed we have found that 4G is a very reliable source of internet.
